You will be met & assisted on arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, and transferred (20min drive) to your pre-booked hotel in Negombo, a seaside town known for its centuries-old fishing industry.

Post breakfast, proceed to visit local Negombo Fish Market. Explore the alive market near the sea to understand how the fishermen harvest and sell fish.

Later in the morning, checkout and drive to Sigiriya famous for Lion Rock.

Sigiriya Lion Rock, is an ancient rock fortress known for its massive column of rock that reaches nearly 200 meters high. The site dates back to the reign of King Kasyapa (477-495 AD), who chose this site as his new capital. He decorated the walls with frescoes, and built an impressive palace right on top of the rock column, accessible only through the mouth of an enormous carved lion.

Post breakfast, proceed for sightseeing tour of the Sigiriya Rock Fortress (Lion Rock), a UNESCO-World Heritage Site. The rock is surrounded by an extensive network of gardens, lily-covered moats, ponds, canals, alleys and fountains, where you can spend some time. Climb up to the top of the rock, you will see the renowned frescoes, in particular a gallery of the ladies’ figures. At the top, the ancient urban planning will be visible. Later in the afternoon, explore the nearby rural area in Hiriwadunna. En route, see paddy fields and rural vegetable plantations.

Return to hotel in the evening.

Post breakfast, checkout and proceed to visit Dambulla Cave Temple, also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla, which represents one of the oldest sites for Buddhist monasticism.

Afterwards, resume drive to Kandy and with stop on the way to visit a spice garden.

Kandy, is a large city in central Sri Lanka. Surrounded by mountains, which are home to tea plantations and biodiverse rainforest. The city’s heart is scenic Kandy Lake (Bogambara Lake), which is popular for strolling. Kandy is famed for sacred Buddhist sites.

Later in the afternoon, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic or Sri Dalada Maligawa, is a Buddhist temple in Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha.

Evening, at leisure to relax.

Post breakfast, proceed to visit Royal Botanical Garden in Peradeniya near Kandy. Occupying 59 hectares (146 acres), it home to over 300 species of plants. There is an avenue of coconut palm trees, a spice garden, giant bamboos, rubber trees, an orchard collection and a giant Javanese fig tree. Afternoon, at leisure to relax, or you may take a stroll around Kandy Lake or explore the downtown market.

Post breakfast, checkout and drive to Galle. The journey will take you through tea plantations, making the view beautiful and special.

Galle, is known for Galle Fort, the fortified old city founded by Portuguese colonists in the 16th century. Stone sea walls, expanded by the Dutch, encircle car-free streets with architecture reflecting Portuguese, Dutch and British rule.

Post breakfast, proceed for sightseeing tour of Galle.

Declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site, Galle is a delight to explore on foot, an endlessly exotic old trading port blessed with imposing Dutch-colonial buildings, ancient churches, grand mansions and museums. Wandering its rambling lanes you’ll pass stylish cafés, quirky boutiques and impeccably restored hotels owned by local and foreign artists, writers, photographers and designers.

Post breakfast, checkout and drive to Colombo.

Sri Lanka’s Capital Colombo, a port city, with a rich colonial heritage, on the Western coast is a pot-pourri of races, religions and cultures. Colombo displays the best and worst the country has to offer. The city is a contrast itself, with mansions, lush gardens, fine dining options, shopping malls packed with expensive designer brands standing next to urban slums; diesel fumed congested roads and street markets.

Despite its small size just 37.31 km² Colombo offers a varying selection of experience ranging from taking a tuktuk ride, a visit to Pettah market and eating Kottu to playing a round of golf and having high tea at one of the colonial style hotels overlooking the Indian Ocean.

Post breakfast, checkout and proceed for guided tour of Colombo. Visit Independence Square, Gangaramaya Temple, Galle Face Green, Colombo National Museum and the former British Administrative Center. 

Later In the afternoon, transfer to the Airport for flight to onward destination.
