The luxury train, called the Maharajas’ Express, evokes an earlier era as it operates in most luxurious of fashions on 5 different journeys covering mainly North-Western India, particularly magnificent forts and palaces of Rajasthan with Champagne Breakfast overlooking The Taj Mahal and exhibition Elephant Polo match in Jaipur.
Flagged off in 2010, it was voted as best luxury train in the world for 2012 and 2013, operating from October to April the Maharaja Express is one of the most expensive train in Asia. The Train comprises of 24 carriages, including accommodation, dinning, bar, lounge, generators and store cars. Carriages and public area in train are fitted with panoramic windows to offer views of rolling landscape as train passes through some of the fascinating landscapes and countryside of India. Each carriage is designed to recreate the opulence of maharaja life style.
The train offers world class facilities such as Hydraulic cabins with Individual Temperature controlled panels, attached private bathrooms, Wi-Fi Internet, DVD players and Plasma TV. Complimentary in house beverages and multi-cuisine restaurant cars with a comfortable lounge make a perfect experience to relax after exploring the wonders that is India, everyday. A royal banquet for royal passengers, the Maharajas’ Express has two fine dining restaurants Mayur Mahal and Rang Mahal that seat 42 persons each and everyone on board dines together. House wines and beer served whilst dining come complimentary, of course.
Maharajas’ Bar And LoungesMaharaja Express has two bars. One of it is a Lounge bar- ‘The Rajah Club’ and the other is a thematic bar named as – ‘Safari Bar’. Both the bars provide comfortable and relaxed sitting arrangements to complement the exquisite range of wines & spirits, allowing you to unwind and lighten up.

Maharajas’ TransportFrom super deluxe coaches for Deluxe Cabin and Junior Suite passengers, to cars for the Suite and Presidential Suite passengers each at every destination.
